Bruins have no hard feelings toward Iginla

Around noon on Wednesday, Calgary Flames general manager Jay Feaster told Boston counterpart Peter Chiarelli that Jarome Iginla would be a Bruin. Matt Bartkowski, Alexander Khokhlachev, and a first-round pick would be going to Calgary.

With the NHL trade deadline on the horizon, four teams are reportedly interested in acquiring Calgary Flames captain Jarome Iginla. While their desire for the 35-year-old isn't in question, the Flames' asking price is.

We went to bed thinking Jarome Iginla was going to be a Bruin. Nearly every single rumor had the 17-year vet heading to Boston, and when Iginla was a healthy scratch for Calgary's late-night game, it seemed a fait accompli.

The Penguins, who want Iginla to participate in at least one practice before playing in a game, are not scheduled to practice again until Monday. Therefore, Tuesday's match against the Buffalo Sabres could be Iginla's first game in a Pittsburgh sweater.

From the blog Puck Daddy: His final goal as a Calgary Flame was as a game-winner. Two nights later, Jarome Iginla wore his Calgary Flames jersey for the final time. Two nights after that, he became a Pittsburgh Penguin.
